You can get more done quickly and efficiently when you are at your best.  When you behavior confidently and energetically, you make the most of your personal resources and more effectively accomplish your goals.  Here are some ideas to help you achieve your goals:

  • Have a Positive Attitude: Use positive self-talk; See problems as opportunities; Give yourself plenty of praise for the good work you do 
  • Set Goals: List and prioritize both short and long-term goals; Plan how you can best reach those goals; Take action to accomplish those goals 
  • Sharpen your Skills: Keep your skills updated; Be open to feedback; Be willing to work at being the best you can be 
  • Stay Organized: Make to-do lists and follow them; Keep your files, paperwork and schedules in order; Use a notebook, smartphone, calendar or diary; Write important things down – do not trust your memory; Manage your time well; Be on time for events, appointments and meetings; Don’t be a procrastinator 
  • Take Care of You: Get plenty of exercise and enough sleep; Eat healthy meals; Learn how to relax as stress makes one less productive; Nurture relationships as supportive friends and family help build self-esteem
