January 16, 2015Now that all the holiday celebrations are over, the wrapping paper placed back in the box and the decorations all neatly stored away, how do we get the peace to continue? Throughout the season people were nice, generous and accommodating even though most felt an extra dose of stress. Maybe all were imbibing with extra doses of……which made it easier to be gracious. I wonder.
How important it is that we all continue to work toward peace at every level of our lives. Who wants to go back into the “flames of fire”, the “flood” of trauma or the “shakiness of the wilderness”? Work to find your strength such that you will be a beacon of light for your neighbors and co-workers. Every one of us has the capacity to assist in continuing the peace of the season. How will you make yourself known in this area? Even little things can say to another person, “I wish you peace.”
Please take the time to remember to nurture peace in your environment. The world depends on it! Peace to you!
