August 26, 20173 Items Needed for Passion to be Effective in Life
January 6, 2018Recently I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking with a few friends. We are all so busy “living” our lives that we rarely take the opportunity to come together to celebrate each other and “catch up” on our lives. That day we did and it was wonderful.
What I found fascinating was a particular part of our conversation. The how and why of what got us on the topic is irrelevant yet the topic itself holds great relevance to every person alive. The topic had to do with what components makes up an individual life? Component defines is: a part that combines with other parts to form something bigger. What a fabulous conversation we had about that question. Let me add one point here; we were narrowly focused life purely on the individual not on things such as relationships or career. I want to share a few of our thoughts on the topic here with you folks.
- Physical – anything related to the body; items perceived through the senses; the tangible, concrete and visible things in our lives. So this would include things such as how one looks; the ability of our senses; physical fitness; and, any physical anomalies that are present for us to manage.
- Mental – anything related to the mind; relating to the total emotional and intellectual response of an individual to external reality; thoughts; and, perceptions. Intellectual quotient.
- Emotional – the affective aspect of consciousness; the manner in which we deal with the conscious mental reaction subjectively experienced as strong feeling usually directed toward a specific object and typically accompanied by physiological and behavioral changes in the body. Emotional Intelligence.
- Spiritual – this consists of items such as the soul; to things impacting sacred matters in our life; items relating to the supernatural or phenomena.
- Love – unselfish loyalty and benevolence; the object of attachment, devotion or admiration; an intimately strong feeling of kinship be it pure friendship or having a sexual component.
Our lifestyle is a how we incorporate our life components in interaction with our physical environment. Life interests, opinions, behaviors, culture, and orientations all come into play in living a solid, productive; even passionate life.
So I am curious and would like to know what components would you pick? Obviously there is no right or wrong answer here merely a process that may enlighten us all. Please take the time to consider and share. I value your input and connection.
