The TRUTH about LYING
July 24, 2014Symbolism
August 8, 2014A long time ago I had this idea to make up t-shirts with therapy-like sayings on them. You all know those shirts that people laugh at, get a “message” from, or think are just silly (in all the kindest of ways possible)? My friends and I had a great laugh over some of the sayings we came up with and, as often happens, the idea fizzled. Motivation for some things can be difficult to sustain. We all have seen this with people dealing with addictions – stopping smoking or drinking, losing weight, staying out of the casinos. One must truly have a passion for the change you want to see happen, or it doesn’t! Honestly, in my case, it was for the best…..
Just for laughs here is a list of some of the ideas I came up with! Enjoy!!!
- Reality, try it!
- You’re Happy? It must be Denial!
- If you double step, you only have to work a 6-step program!
- Inner children need love, too!
- Lousy childhood, Lousy adulthood!
- Commit this!
- Medicate me!
- Reflective listening causes a glare!
- Clueless, Goalless, Need Therapy!
- Talk, Talk, Talk! Pay, Pay, Pay! Same time next week?
So here is to embracing stimulating charms and noble truths…Now you can see why I dropped the idea of thera-tees. Feel free to take this idea and run with it as you may. While doing so you just may find your passion and cause change to occur. Stranger things have happened!
